6 : New Orleans Pelicans select Trey Burke, PG, Michigan

Fresh off his Player of the Year season, Burke could be the first point guard taken off the board.  Out of every point in this draft, he probably is the most NBA ready.  Burke is a dynamic playmaker.  He makes good decisions with the ball and attacks the basket.

New Orleans just changed there name and have young pieces already there to start the Pelican franchise off on the right foot.  Last year, they had the number 1 pick in the draft and took Anthony Davis.  If they can keep Eric Gordon at the shooting guard position, adding Burke at the point would give them a respectable core for the future.
