3 : Washington Wizards select Anthony Bennett, PF, UNLV
If things go like I have said, the Wiz could be a little upset. They would like to get Otto Porter here, but getting Anthony Bennett here would still be a very good pick.
Bennett has a tremendous amount of upside. Draft experts have said that he is a little overweight. He just had shoulder surgery and hasn’t had a chance to work out for any teams, there’s the reason he could be overweight. However, with John Wall and Bradley Beal helping try and bring the Washington franchise back to a respectable state, Bennett could be a tremendous help.
With trade rumors about, the Wiz have been rumored to trading this pick to the Bulls for Luol Deng. Deng would make a lot of sense in Washington, but it’s all rumors at this point.
