16 : Boston Celtics select Dennis Schroeder, PG, Germany
Supposedly, Schroeder has a promise from someone in the first round in the “teens”. That could be the Jazz or the Bucks or the Celtics. The Jazz will take the best player available though and will most likely pass on Schroeder.
What better fit though for him than the Celtics. The “miniature Rajon Rondo” goes to play behind Rondo himself. Schroeder could learn a lot from Rondo and would do a fantastic job backing him up. If the comparisons are true and Schroeder really is Rondo Jr., then with Schroeder as the back up, it’d be like Rondo never leaves the floor!
(that last line was a joke by the way….)
