Utah Jazz: Enes Kanter Scores 14, Grabs 10 Rebounds in Charity Game

Utah Jazz center Enes Kanter elected to–finally–play for his collegiate team in Lexington, Kentucky. That being so, it was a simple charity game. Kanter and his “Big Blue All-Stars” battled in a losing effort against “The Villains” at Rupp Arena yesterday, Monday, October 24th.

Teammates Rajon Rondo (21 points, 14 assists) and Jodie Meeks (42 points) were the main threats on Big Blue’s squad.

Enes scored 14 points, showcasing a few powerful dunks along the way, and grabbed 10 boards. Something to worry about, though, is that he was blocked on two of his dunks, one being a two-handed jam!

Hopefully Enes can gather himself and toughen up before the season–if there is a season.

When asked in a post-game interview about the uncanny number of times he was blocked, Enes Kanter replied simply, “I couldn’t jump”. At 6’11”, an NBA-caliber player should rarely ever be blocked; let alone twice… on dunks.
