Among all the Utah Jazz's losses, Brice Sensabaugh putting it together lately has been pretty fun to watch. Not only has he been going off, but he's been making Jazz history. Among the impressive performances he's been putting up, it also helps that he's had two NBA Champions helping him from the sidelines: Jason Terry and Avery Bradley.

Terry and Bradley, who were once teammates on the Boston Celtics during the 2012-13 season, have been involved with the Jazz since their playing days ended. Terry won a title with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, and Bradley won one himself in 2020. Terry is part of Will Hardy's coaching staff while Bradley has been vice president of the Jazz's player development.

In an exclusive interview with NBA reporter Landon Buford, Sensabaugh revealed what it's like to have former NBA players around like Bradley and Terry.

“Yeah, it’s always good to have ex -NBA players on the staff, just because they’re good at pouring back into us,” Sensabaugh told Buford. “They let us know, like, the real ins and outs, the league back then and even now. Like what they see in comparison from then and now. So, it’s good. It’s great to have those guys. They never hold back.”

Terry was more of a scorer during his playing days, while Bradley's calling card was his defense. Sensabaugh has proven himself to be a player like Terry, which would be pretty good news for Utah, knowing where they picked him. Sure, his defense needs work, to be fair, so does the rest of the Jazz's roster.

As long as he adheres to the advice from the NBA alumni who are around to help, he could be a pillar of the Jazz's future, though that's not guaranteed.

By next year, the Jazz will know what they have in Sensabaugh

Sensabaugh has gone on impressive stretches. He went on a few here and there last year, but it was enough to drive excitement for what was to come from him this year. He hasn't exactly lived up to the hype until these past few games. Even so, it is on him to prove that he can be consistent.

If he can, that could be enough to convince the Jazz that he's a keeper for when they aim for the playoffs next season. With the Jazz having Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, Walker Kessler, Year 2 of Ace Bailey, Free Agent X, and 2026 lottery pick (the latter two are presumed), Utah will be done tanking.

Once they do, there will be more spotlight on players like Sensabaugh to see if he is worth keeping around. He has proven he can score, but Utah knows, from players like Rodney Hood, that just because someone can score in bunches doesn't mean they are keepers if they can't do it regularly.

The Jazz have been able to get the most out of those player archetypes like Jordan Clarkson, and even then, he had some work to do to prove he was more than empty calories. Sensabaugh looks like he's turning the corner, but he'll have until the end of next season to show more consistency and less variance.
